Software Defined Radio devices

Ettus USRP bus devices

Ettus USRP bus devices are supported directly using the GNU Radio UHD module (gr-uhd) and the UHD library. Using the direct support provides receive and transmit timestamps from the FPGA. These devices are also supported via OsmoSDR (gr-osmosdr) and via SoapySDR

RTL-SDR based devices

RTL-SDR devices are supported both via OsmoSDR plugins (gr-osmosdr) and via SoapySDR plugins.

Analog Devices ADALM-Pluto

ADALM-Pluto (PlutoSDR) is supported only via SoapySDR and the SoapyPlutoSDR plugin.

LimeSDR family

These devices are supported directly via gr-limesdr which provides FPGA timestamps for TDMA modes, and indirectly via SoapySDR and the SoapyLMS7 plugin.

LimeRFE frontend

The Lime RF Front End (LimeRFE) is an open hardware power amplifier (PA) module with appropriate filtering and support circuitry to augment the LimeSDR, LimeSDR Mini, and LimeNET Micro platforms, providing a complete solution that addresses real life applications ranging from HAM radio to standards-compliant cellular network implementations.

LimeRFE will enhance any LimeSDR based wireless project by providing:

A stronger, clearer signal when transmitting
Less noise when receiving
Improved range for both

Support for the LimeRFE RF frontend.Only amateur radio bands are supported. Cellular paths for LimeRFE boards which have them are not supported. Automatic tuning of the frontend works according to IARU region 1 bandplans. The LimeRFE can tune both

USB controlled frontends

Custom radio frontends can be controlled by QRadioLink using USB FTDI (FT232) relay control support (for RF switches, power amplifier and filter control). Boards with up to 8 relays are supported.
